Let's find Your New Marin Home Together

Buying a home in Marin County can be an exciting yet challenging process due to its desirable location and competitive real estate market. With over 20 years experience, Chris is the trusted ally who will guide you towards success, ensuring that you find not just a house, but a place to call home in beautiful Marin County.

Let's Define your Perfect Home

Your perfect home starts with location.  Not only the preferred city of town, but a neighborhood in that town and site placement.  Do you want a hillside home?  A view home?  A flat lot? Swimming Pool? What type of architecture do you like; floor plan; size, construction, neighborhood characteristics, transportation, shopping, walkability, etc. When I begin engagement with a client, all of these issues will be vetted to ensure we’re working towards your end goal and not looking at homes that don’t meet your criteria.

Communication is Key

I make myself available and know that working from 9-5 Monday through Friday is not the only time buyers can see homes.  With Compass, buyers have access to an incredible set of tech tools to achieve their goals, including Compass Collections, a list of properties I’ll share with you so we can collaborate within the app on your phone or tablet.  All of our discussions about the properties I share with you or that you search and find on Compass can be kept within collections, simplifying the process by using one platform.

Preparing a Strong Offer

Knowing all of the critical steps necessary to secure a property successfully, especially in a competitive offer situation can make a difference between just writing an offer and buying a home. I’ve helped clients successfully navigate the home buying process for the past 8 years in Marin by applying a consistent approach that leads to success for my clients, whether they’re relocating from out of state or just moving up or downsizing for that next stage of their lives.

Negotiations & Closing

When representing a buyer in a house sale, the most important things I consider are Local market research - determining how to set the appropriate (and winning) offer price; Inspections and contingencies - clearly communicating these to my buyers to there are no surprises; Financing and appraisal - being prepared, pre-qualified and ready to act quickly when financing issues arise; Closing costs and timeline; Clear communication with the seller's agent; and a thorough review of the purchase agreement prior to submitting it to the listing agent.
